Full Wig vs. U-part Wig
In simple terms a U-part wig is a portable sew-in. With this type of unit, the wefts are sewn onto the cap with the intent of leaving your hair out around the parting area. The unit has a U-shaped cut out where a small amount of your hair will be used to conceal the wefts. This type of unit is generally attached with combs but can also be sewn down, as desired.
With a Full wig, the wefts are applied in the same fashion as they are with a traditional sew-in or U-part wig. Only difference is a full wig does not have an opening for your natural hair to cover the wefts. Instead Full wigs are completely closed off at the top with the use of a Lace closure. Lace closures are intended to preserve your natural hair by making it so you don't have to do any manipulation to get it to blend in with the wefts. Closures can be placed directly on the top or on either side depending on your preference. If you aren't sure which way you'd like to wear your unit, stick with a classical middle part, choose a larger closure or opt for a frontal (pending product availability).
